What does it do?
It can tell by the VIN number where the vehicle was made, the manufacturer, what model and series it is, what year it is, what engine it has, and the build sequence number. This VIN decoder is programmed for Chevy HHR VIN decoding only, other vehicles will produce inaccurate info.

This decoder has limited function, all it does is decode the VIN characters with universal VIN deciphering. It does not connect to any General Motors database. The resulting information does not reveal a history report or any owner information. This information is provided for entertainment only, accuracy cannot be guaranteed.

Notes: This VIN decoder is programmed for Chevy HHR VIN decoding only, other vehicles will produce inaccurate info.
The sequence number is only for production in the model year, not spanned over several years.
The sequence number may vary by model series: LS, LT1, LT2
If you find any of this info is incorrect, please contact us.

Without connecting to the manufacturer database, the VIN code itself cannot decipher ..

For more comprehensive information, your dealer can print you a report or you can purchase a report from a vehicle history reporting service.

Where do I find the VIN number on my HHR?
It appears on the plate in the front corner of the instrument panel, on the driver's side. You can see it if you look through the windshield from outside your vehicle. The VIN also appears on the Vehicle Certification and Service Parts labels and the certificates of title and registration.
