What is it?
The HHR has a distinct design that fuses elements of the 1949 Chevy Suburban -
the original utility vehicle - and the SSR roadster. The HHR is a crossover vehicle
that combines a small sedan and a small SUV that is both uniquely styled and highly functional.
It is built on the same solid platform as the new Chevy Cobalt.

When was the first year of production for Chevy HHR?
Chevy introduced the 2006 HHR at the 2005 Greater Los Angeles Auto Show.
The 2006 HHR arrived at Dealer showrooms (July 2005).
What does HHR stand for?
HHR originally was an internal GM code name. The letters stand for Heritage High Roof.
The side profile of the HHR is styled after a 1949 Chevrolet Suburban.
What models are offered for the 2008 HHR?
LS and LT. The LT also comes in two packages - 1LT and 2LT.
The LS and 1LT are powered by an Ecotec 2.2L four-cylinder rated at 149 horsepower
and 152 lb.-ft. of torque. An Ecotec 2.4L four-cylinder is standard in the
2LT and is available in the 1LT; it delivers 172 horsepower and 167 lb.-ft.
of torque. A five-speed manual transmission is standard and an electronically
controlled four-speed automatic is available in all models.
The 1LT model also includes a standard MP3 player, six-way power seat with power lumbar,
and a satin exterior finish. Bright chrome exterior trim and a bright exhaust tip are available.
ABS and traction control are available (traction control only available with automatic transmission).

What features are standard for the 2008 HHR?
All HHR models include standard features such as air conditioning, power windows,
power door locks, power outside mirrors, cruise control and remote keyless entry.
Additional product highlights include:

The 1LT model also includes a standard MP3 player, eight-way power seat including power lumbar, and new 16-inch fascia-spoke wheels painted Sterling Silver. Bright chrome exterior trim and a bright exhaust tip are available. ABS is available and traction control is included when the vehicle is equipped with ABS and automatic transmission. New, 16-inch chrome wheels are available.
HHR 2LT comes with the larger 2.4L Ecotec engine and FE3 sport suspension with StabiliTrak. Additional standard features include ABS, fog lamps, bright exhaust tip, leather-wrapped steering wheel and shifter, the 260-watt Pioneer sound system with subwoofer and bright chrome exterior trim. Heated leather seats (with two heating levels) are available on both LT packages. Seventeen-inch high-polished forged aluminum wheels are available.

HHR fuel mileage is estimated to have a 30-mpg highway efficiency.
A 16 gallon tank gives the HHR a cruising range of 450 Highway miles - the most in its class.
HHR's excellent aerodynamics and specially designed tires contribute to outstanding mileage estimates.
